How the XBOX 720 launch is going to go down:

Consumer: "Always online requirement? Hell no!! That's bull!! I'm going to boycott Microsoft and never buy anything from them ever again for as long as I live!!"

Microsoft: "Halo 5 announced."

Consumer: ".....Okay I'll buy one."

Don't even deny it, you know it's true. -_^

That'd be true if the "always online" rumor was actually confirmed and if the Halo series was actually good.

Not true to me... I'll only buy if it's online-only if they either give a REALLY good excuse (which honestly, I can think of ZERO at the moment) or if the system is super cheap to offset it.

For most people? Yes. I think thats exactly how it's going to go, but this isn't the same as people threatening to boycott EA because they put more action into the Dead Space franchise. I genuinely believe that an Always Online console is going to pose serious, serious issues for Microsoft, and the announcement pushed me from "Likely going to buy" to "Wait and see". I've seen enough Always connected stuff that there is 0 chance I will be buying one before I have seen that the servers are going to be stable.

More than enough people find it good enough to put up with bull crap like Always Online just so they can play as Master Chief again.

I absolutely love Halo, but when looking at other MS exclusives against Sony exclusives, with the addition of always online, I would give up Halo.

Um...**** no. Why would I even bother with another Halo when Bungie's "Destiny" will be out in a year? At least with that title you can have a reason for always online.

Perhaps you are more interested in established characters and franchises than just buying games you haven't seen or played based on the names they print on the box?

I don't even like Halo, but that was a stupid point.

"Always Online" isn't a breaking point for me and I love Halo so I'd still be getting one
