There's no storage device. The newer models all have internal hard drives, right? So what's going on? She bought it used, so is it possible that whoever had it before opened it up, removed the hard drive, and the seller didn't know about it?

No only the newer Xbox 360 slims have 4GB internal memory.

Yes, yes, TC says "sister" but he's referring to himself, etc. Nope. I already have a 360, and besides, nobody invents a fake sister. Fake girlfriends, yeah all the time (I don't do it of course), but why a fake sister? Anyway I checked the paper it came with, says it's got the 4GB hard drive. Or at least it's supposed to.

only the 4gb Slims have the internal memory. A 250gb slim with it's hard drive taken out has nothing. Though there's no real point in taking a slim's hard drive out since the only thing you can put it on is another slim.

Huh? Why would that make taking one out pointless?

Regardless of the rational behind that thought, a fat HDD and a slim HDD are virtually identical. It's only the HDD casings (and # of GBs) that are different.

But the slim hard drives are only 250 and 320gb. The largest phat hard drive is the 250gb. Why would you take out a 250gb slim drive to put it in another slim that probably came with a 250gb or larger drive. That's my point.

And FYI, It's much easier to go from phat to slim than the other way.
