Is it ok to give someone microsoft points for DLC content?

Haven't ever done it, but just wondering if it's against the terms of Xbox Live in some way...

You mean like trade MSP for a download code?

I don't see how that would be any different from buying the code on Ebay.

Although, if you're talking about paying someone MSP to be able to use their account to do a license transfer for DLC they have already bought so you can use it, yes, that would be a violation of the XBL ToU.

At the very least, it would be a violation of the section that states that your account is for your use only and you are not allowed to give another party access to your account.

In the event that they would be the one downloading and using their account on your console, I don't know if paying them to do a license transfer for you would be a violation or not.

Dude, no... I'm not talking about any sort of license transfers... I'm talking about if someone got a DLC code in their video game box that they don't want and I would give them MSP for the code, that's all...

Do it with your emails and not PM'ing over Xbox Live and Microsoft will not even know what you did.
The only problem would be if you can trust each others.

Give the codes to me, I'll be the arbiter.

Once I have both, I'll exchange them. That way, no one gets gypped-

Holy hell I just realized the etymology of "gypped" and now I feel like a racist.

You can't directly give someone points in the first place, so you're better off just buying the DLC yourself.

Really?

Are you sure?

Positive?

What would you call giving someone a point code, if not directly giving them points?

The TC is not talking about code for code trading.
