Looking up your gamertag shows only 860 gamerscore. Meaning you don't give a **** and haven't completed any of the games you have ever argued about on this board. Why do you make topic like this then?

it's pretty bad, you get surrounded by zombies and they will maul you down everytime. i played by myself for a few hours and it just wasn't fun at all. so if you got friend to play with go for it other then that go get Red Dead.

It's to the point where I wouldn't recommend it. To me, it's one of those games where the co-op really makes it.

First time I beat dead island was solo second time was co-op but solo wasn't really that difficult at all

Honestly? No.
I love Left 4 Dead 2. A lot. And it's better than Dead Island in every single way. But the co op is what really shines in it. It'd still be a fun game to play on your own, but you won't get the real L4D experience unless you have a partner or two. Or three.
