There's the link to the article. The uptight ass hat in question asks if the fact that Blood Dragon has a gay joke in the beginning in the game makes the entire game homophobic and anti-gay. This really confirms why I never go to Kotaku. The entire article reeked of somebody just begging for controversy to increase traffic. The joke has absolutely no derogatory language towards homosexuals nor did it use any slang that could be deemed hurtful or offensive. It was a simple joke told between two friends.

She even questions the creative director of the game about it asking if his game was homophobic and he tells her a ton of stuff. He should have just told her," It's a ****ing joke. Get over it. You aren't complaining about Rex calling people a dirty *** dumpster, are you? Now get your busty self out of my face before I slap your knockers."

It really seems the people who cry wolf over these matters are the ones it doesn't pertain to. This is a female complaining about something that would pertain to gay males. We get white people complaining about stuff that pertains to minorities. Get the **** over yourself.

That's way too long of an article for a joke that was like eight words long. Kotaku, sensationalism, and all that jazz. Kotaku does these articles because they will generate hits, and the director has to repeatedly make it clear that the game isn't anti-gay (which is probably why he brought it up again in the interview), because everyone knows what happens when a company or product is labeled anti-gay.

But seriously, Kotaku is a joke.

Making gay jokes doesn't make you a homophobe., I know gay people that are fine with gay jokes, I know Asian people that are fine with Asian jokes, chicks that are fine with sexist jokes, and feel free to rip on me for being a drunk, dimwitted Aussie.

A joke is a joke people. As long as the purpose of the joke isn't to hurt someone then who cares?

Enough with this PC bull. It's gotten to the point where people are scared to tell a co-worker that she looks nice, to say 'black people' around black people, to even talk to a disabled person because they're not sure if they're going to offend them.
All it's doing is making people afraid to converse with anyone different than them.

I feel the same way. It's the intention of the joke which matters, not the joke itself.

This is the problem with political correctness.

This article is probably a joke seeing how it's from Kotaku and it's known to be a bad site for news. But this is the reality and annoyance we are going to get whenever someone says a joke like that if everyone lets political correctness win.

I have noticed that most of the time that the people that get mad about a joke aren't even the once it is directed at.

I'm pretty sure most kotaku articles are just longwinded jokes or parodies and you're all being played for chumps.

It isn't too far from a crapton of left-wingers and political correctness.
