Why not release a Megaman HD collection? What's holding Capcom back?

Seriously it's been how long since a megaman game has come out.

Megaman legends . Got canceled
Megaman FPS. Got canceled.
Megaman universe. Got canceled.

The HD collection would be awesome.
MMX 1-8
MM 1-10 (including MM&B)
Redrawn sprites ( maybe give MM 1-7 the MM8 look, which I really liked)
And tons of goodies. ( maybe add some lesser known games like MM Network transmission)

But for some reason. They just don't care about MM. I mean aside from the iPhone game. I haven't heard of them doing anything with the blue bomber.
Do they hate megaman or something? Could it gave something to do with inafune leaving?

better yet why not release megaman 1 hd and then charge 1200 points for each sequel?
then release megaman hd collection remix 2 for 40$ 2 years later

I'm afraid that would happen. But if they released the collection last gen. Why would they start charging individually now? That would just make people buy their favorite megaman games.

It would be a waste of time and cash. Only a small niche group of gamers would buy it.

This. Megaman's time is up. At least they let it go before it became terrible.

Or why not just buy these?

Let's be honest here, Megaman doesn't need to be in HD. The sprites probably wouldn't benefit too terribly much from going HD. It would certainly be nice, but you would probably get about just as much out of those releases as you would a newer, HD one...and for less money too, most likely.

Nah, he just needs an FPS reimagining like metroid prime.

Megan Man Anniversary Collection didn't sell so well, though it was great.

Mega Man X Collection only fairly well.

From a sales point of view, they probably figured that was about all they good expect and felt it wasn't worth the effort. Plus the only way you can "hd" the old 8 bit ones would be to redraw them.

Too much effort for Capcom.
