I can easily name 10 games that are better than most of Japan's games out now.(Opinion)

1. Battlefield 3-Rather you like the FPS genre or not we all got to admit that it is one of the best.

2. Red Dead Redemption-Awesome Story, Open World, and fun gameplay.

3. Halo series-Great story, stays relevant throughout the gen unlike some others.

4. The Witcher series- Mature story, awesome art style, and awesome characters

5. Borderlands 2-Lots of guns

6. Minecraft-A legobox that you can do whatever you want in

7. GTA-Same as Red Dead Redemption, but minus the story

8. Bioshock Infinite-AMAZING STORY, fun gameplay, awesome art style

9. ME series-Some say it defined this gen

10. Skyrim-SO MUCH CONTENT, amazing graphics.

The J's and the W's both have awesome games.

Brutal Legend is definitely art. And better than most of your Japan games....

A lot of Japanese art can also get people in the USA and the Western world locked up, so not ever piece of Japanese art is a good thing worth boasting about.

Also, the orchestral musical scores of games like Halo and Skyrim, not to mention the some of the Classic Rock songs featured in Rock Band, are a lot closer to pieces of art than they are mere products.

Isn't there some JRPG that has over $200 worth of DLC?

The thought provoking and soul stirring artistic masterpiece that is Dynasty Warriors 7 has at least $100 worth of DLC.

If only the Western games industry could produce works of art like Rape Lay and produce $100 worth of extra downloadable victims for it, then perhaps videogames wouldn't be demonised as much by society and finally recieve the artistic recognition they deserve.

EA won the award for being the worst company in America twice. I am pretty certain the worst company in the nation is worse than Capcom.

Record of Agarest War has a ton but not that much (and ALL of it is pay-2-win, not extra content). It's everything wrong with JRPGs though and definitely not representative of the genre as a whole
