I don't mind the movie approach, but I enjoy when a game has its own style to it, and doesn't feel like it borrowed heavily from somewhere else.

How aboot you?
I love video games : )

I don't care.

on a side note I had buffalo wings for dinner last night and they didn't make me bloated or give me gas.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone.
The armory of god is guarding me but all you can see is holographic artistry.

I throw that nonsense out. There is no meat in celery.

I like games that make me feel like I'm watching a movie. Meaning there are breaks from gameplay with good cinematics. The real-time story telling first person games do doesn't sit well with me.
You know, whenever a poster uses the terms "b**** and whine" or "piss and moan" or something similar, I simply ignore the entire post.

I don't think many FPSs have done it right just yet. For me and FPS is about immersion and my top two games for that are Breakdown(xbox) and Mirror's Edge. Those two games do a great job of making you feel like more than a hand with a gun.

If I want to watch a movie, I'll watch a movie. If I want to play a game, I'll play a game.

If I want to play a game but instead end up watching one cutscene after another, I'm going to get pissed off. I DON'T PAY $60 FOR MOVIES.

Also, I'm pretty sure Dark-S has admitted before that he can't play first person games. So it's safe to ignore his opinions as being biased.
well I am not like your dad. I worked as a chef at TGIF-Mattson

I don't like when games force you to press x to do binary actions to continue the game.

Like the stupid MW2 ice climbing or the beginning of battlefield 3.
