I don't like when games force you to press x to do binary actions to continue the game.
Like the stupid MW2 ice climbing or the beginning of battlefield 3.
You mean a quick time event? They can work well in some situations(opening heavy doors God of War to simulate weight/struggle). But most of them are kind of annoying(Resident Evil 4) in that you die or fail a mission.
I never thought about it, but yea, they are in most cinematic styled games.

Must be me. I really don't mind it. The 5 minute long qte versus krauser in RE4 is the worst type imo.
IMO that part was really good.
I really like QTEs that are done right.
It got my blood pumping but for the wrong reasons. If you fail just once you die and start it all over, but with different button sequences. My brain would anticipate a certain order only to be wrong(noooooooooooooo) and then I would have to start it over. Part of it may have been me sucking, but the other part is the qte sucking.
I'm a fan of qtes that add a little spice to the game, but aren't a featured part of the gameplay itself.
