I'm thinking about it . I just bought the Elite a few months before the Slim was introduced at E3, so it was still too recent for me to replace my 360. But now I just might skip the Slim and go on to the Xbox 360ne .

I will, more than likely. I've been lucky enough to go through only one red ringed console and my arcade model has held up since 2009, but I'd feel better with the superior hardware in the long term, as I don't intend to buy an Xbox One or PS4 anytime in the immediate future. Plus there's my hysterically colossal backlog of XBLA games that I won't be able to play on the Xbox One anyway. I'm counting on that to last me another year or two.

If this newer 360 slim has a 320gb hard drive or larger, that will be one more reason to upgrade. I'm running very, very low on hard drive space, 10gb out of 250, and I've got usb drives sticking out of my ears.
