Guide button not working, why?

#1VoidBeyondPosted 6/11/2013 10:02:09 AM
I've cleaned it, taken it apart multiple times, sprayed it with electronic spray and WD-40. All other buttons continue working except my guide button. I have to jump start the controller with a Plug and Play thing that has a short circuit, making it even more difficult to turn on. How do I fix this? It's not stuck when I press it down, nothing. It just seems like it isn't reading that I'm pressing down on it. This is a limited edition controller and I'm going to be really pissed if I can't use the main button of my controller. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

First, WD-40 is a bad idea, it's a conductor so you could have already shorted out the whole button.

Second, time to get a new controller.
