Why would they take optical audio off the Xbox which is the newest version? Are they not thinking? I was gonna buy it but that threw me off now hopefully it's just false info even though its on their website
They probably expect people to have receivers with HDMI input. I have a receiver like that, but I don't think enough people have a setup like that to justify removing the Optical Audio Out port from the 360 redesign. --- I like how the GameFAQs spellcheck shows that the word "Wii" is fine, but the words "Xbox" and "Kinect" show up as typos.
I like to use the hdmi for video and optical audio for the surround sound bt I won't be able to with this system but I guess it won't matter if the Xbox one supports optical audio then I will just have the one connected --- GT:Martin 23 kings
Yeah my receiver has hdmi. But I didn't want to pass through it. The optical port was one reason I got a slim after dealing with that dongle for years. This really doesn't make sense.. --- http://gamercards.exophase.com/128564.png http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc117/pyromania1986/comp.jpg
They removed the wifi part of it. You cant get online with it.
Does it have at least one USB port?
Then you can connect a USB Ethernet adapter, just like you could with the original.
You may not be able to go wireless, but, that does not eliminate the ability to go online entirely.
Yes, it does eliminate the ability to go online. They removed all online connectivity options from the firmware entirely. You can't go online with it through any methods, even when using a USB Ethernet adaptor. --- "Walking tanks must exist somewhere for there to be such attention to detail like this in mech sim." - IGN Steel Battalion review
