Yeah I have to agree with other posters, none on the 360 really do the series justice. Play some of the older ones if u really want good, vintage FF. I prefer VI myself

You're out of luck on the 360. Lightning Returns will be released in the Fall, but if you haven't played FFXIII/2, you won't have a clue what's going on, and frankly you don't want to put yourself through that anyway.

You'll have to get a PS3, but I'd recommend you start with FFX HD, which is due to be released this year, that's the best one to start with by today's standards, and it was the last great game in the series if you ask me. It's also the only one that isn't dated to the point that it will turn newcomers away. You could go hardcore and get FFVII on the PSN store, but I don't think you'll like that as your first Final Fantasy if you've never played one before, not after you've been spoiled by the last decade and a half of improvements in gaming technology.

Other than that, Lost Odyssey is about the closest you'll get to a good Final Fantasy on this console.

Only VI and VII are worth playing.

Final Fantasy games were never really big on the 360, unless there's some sort of major compilation packages that I missed on (like there was on Playstation) with things like Anthology, etcetera... If I'm not mistaken, there was really just Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2, so I'd recommend just playing those two --- or trying the playstation ones...

Final Fantasy 7 (for the Playstation 1) is considered one of the best Japanase RPG's of all time, and in my personal opinion --- it lives up to that consideration...

Big has nothing to do with it, they just aren't good lately on any system.

Get Final Fantasy Tactics on any phone or tablet, or any PC should be able to play it
Look. I'm not a very good shot, but this American, here....uses really big bullets.

final fantasy is a series you need to grow up with to enjoy. getting into it now is useless. the games are ass. the stories are dumb and the characters are gender questionable emos.
