Data transfer from old 250 gb hard drive to 250gb slim?

#1mike468Posted 6/17/2013 11:58:28 AM(edited)
I have an old model 360 that just ******* out on me and I caved and bought a new 360 slim. I have an old transfer cable because I had upgraded my hard drive on the old system a few times.

My question is, both my old systems hard drive and the new systems hard drive are the same size. I thought you could only transfer your data to a bigger hard drive. Is this going to be a problem for me?

I haven't gotten the new system yet (got it through ebay and hasn't been delivered). I'm just asking because I thought I remember reading in the past when I've done it, that it only works when transferring from a smaller drive to a bigger drive.

Just get a hd case off eBay and use it to put your old hd into your new xbox.
