How do you feel about dust on your console.

Uh, it's like dust anywhere else in my house. If it's there, it gets cleaned up.

Pick it up only by the inner ring and outer edge(pointer on outer edge, thumb in the hole)

That... that seems kind of backwards to me. I always support the disc edge with my thumb, and have my index finger in the hole. Doing it the other way... I can't even think like that.

Well... not quite. I mean, if you're sticking your thumb in the middle (in the hole), and using your finger(s) to support the disc edges, it's very different than just using your thumb to support the edge, with only the pointer finger in the hole.

I really don't know how to explain it... and trying to Google images explaining how I hold it, versus how my mind pictures you describing how you hold it, isn't really producing any results.

But my rational for not using my thumb in the hole of the cd/dvd, is because my thumbs are rather thick, compared to my index finger... and I don't want to risk my thumb getting stuck in the hole (hey, it could happen!). That would be a silly thing to have happen.

I find it to be pretty annoying, but I don't regularly dust my console or TV or anything like that. I usually only clean it off if I can notice it like if the dust is on a glossy surface or if some gets wiped off with a finger and I can see the rest of it.

Y'all are both weird, I put my thumb on one side and my middle finger across from it. I don't use the middle hole at all

Shouldn't use a swiffer on electronics, it uses a static charge to pick up dust.

oh crap been using a swiffer on it for a while

According to the swiffer web site, using a swiffer on electronics is fine. Just make sure they are not hot when you dust them.
