Resonance of Fate.

I don't think there's a more unique combat system in all of gaming. Learning curve is a sheer cliff, though.

One of my absolute favorite rpgs.

However, I'll be damned if I EVER get past the chapter they make you use only 2 characters..

How in the hell is that even possible? You run out of shards (forget what those little orange things are called) without anyway to really earn them back, no tri-attacks (which is half of the combat). It is really frustrating..

If there was one thing that Kingdoms of Amalur nailed, it was gameplay. Easy, but damn fun. I've never enjoyed combat in a game as much as the combat in KoA.

Fire Emblem Awakening, man. Treat yourself.

Holy crap. SunDevil77, do we share the same opinions on everything?
Whenever you mention liking a game, it's always one of my favourites, or a game
that I'm interested in buying. For example, I've been interested in Lost Odyssey, but I wasn't
sure if I would like it or not. Now that I know you like it, I'm definitely going to buy it, since my brain seems to be a clone of yours, pretty much.

Awh man...my absolute favorite JRPG this gen. I'm a mage guy...pretty much any RPG consists of me using magic, and Lost Odyssey's spells are so badass =P

And the narrative is truly beautiful.

suikoden 3. I loved the treasure bosses- it made grinding off of bosses for loot, equipment, and money fun- something you don't see too often in jrpg's.

Combat also had a tactical degree to it and especially for new players, you really had to make choices to survive battles.

I liked the way they designed that masterpiece. Even the backtracking to the same zones felt fun to me and you did that a lot.

Really like Dragon's Dogma. Also liked ME3. Those are probably my favorites.
