First link = only ONE GUY got phished, not hacked, there's a HUGE difference.

Second link, a few more people got PHISHED, not hacked, again, HUGE DIFFERENCE.

But I wouldn't expect a Sony fanbot to figure that out after Sony really got hacked and millions of CC numbers got out.

So you've got a few idiots here and there who more than likely leave their entire lives out in the open on Facebook and twitter, who got PHISHED out of their accounts, versus MILLIONS of credit card numbers getting out on Sony's side because they left a security hole open for YEARS.

But, what can I expect from an Xbot? If it works for you, it's flawless and everyone who points anything out is a troll, hater, and Sony fanboy, right?

So Microsoft retracting their statement of accounts just being "phished" to their servers being compromised doesn't mean anything, just because you say so?

Ok. And the Holocaust didn't happen just because Germany said it didn't.

So MS's servers were hacked into despite evidense to the contrary is true just because you say so?

Seriously, every example you've shown just counters your argument. Every article you link to talks about individual cases of single users having their accounts "hacked", or as is actually the case either socially engineered or phished. The popular media uses the word "hack" quite erroniously.

If MS's servers had actually been broken into, do you really think we'd be hearing about a few individual cases? We'd be hearing of the widespread loss of security of tousands, if not millions, of accounts. And you wil never find any links that suggest that happened because it simply hasnt.

I don't remember having any issues with LIVE at all.

I recall it happening, but personally only got disconnected a handful of times. The board was alight with people complaining though, so if you were around here it was hard to miss.

Wasn't so much how long it was down for me, but it was how long it wasn't working properly. For around a month my WHOLE XBOX was slow and games on LIVE were pretty much unplayable 90% of the time.

That is the way I remember it.

flame, i agree with the other guy. all the articles seem to involve phishing to some degree rather than an all out hack. if it was a hack, the "hackers" wouldn't have needed to call microsoft to get even more info to get into a persons account. in fact, the last article states they had to know prior info such as billing amounts and socials prior to calling in to microsoft. tell me where you put your social on your account.

Lol, XBL was never down, XBL was never hacked. Stop these silly guesses just to make the Xbox look bad aka comparable to PS3's mishaps. Sony has always had an inferior online network ever since Socom.
