Why are PS3 version of games cheaper than the Xbox 360 versions?

#1GSPgreasesPosted 7/11/2013 4:16:02 PM
Same game will cost most on the 360 and be a few dollars cheaper on the PS3 and Wii

Was looking at a few on Amazon and had to see what was the purpose this?

Depends, really. DMC 4 is like 5 bucks for 360 and 16 for PS3 at Gamestop.

Because they're the worst version of the game.

I work in a game store and we sell WAY more 360 games than PS3. I guess they are trying to attract buyers.

PS3 had a rougher launch, some of its early games lacked polish and sold less.

Probably because they aren't selling as well as the XB 360 versions, and thus there are more copies unsold.
So in order to sell off the extra copies, they reduce the prices.

It's simple economics...
Low Supply = Higher cost
High Supply = Lower cost
