Any deals to trade in an Xbox Slim for the new E model?

I want to trade my Slim for the E model but I don't want to pay full price.

There's no reason to trade a Slim for the E model.

It really is a downgrade

I heard there's no component cable support, is that the only disadvantage?

No optical audio out

And it's more crammed in possibly leading to overheating.

Really no reason to trade away what works and pay to downgrade. Just my humble opinion

i got rid of my xbox a few years back so i bought this one im liking it so far have not had any heating issues and the this is very very quiet. i knew it was missing some ports going in but its smaller and it will match the xbox 1 when it comes out. be aware though that it is missing an optical out so no gaming headphones. however there is a very easy fix to that just plug them into your tv and your golden.

btw i believe gamestop is having a sale where everything you trade in gets you 50% extra credit.

This may sound stupid since I don't wear gaming headphones or a headset, but don't they plug into your controller?

That's your mic, not a pair of Headphones.

Sorry, but no.

TVs typically only output 2 channel audio, even through optical, so if you have a surround sound headset, you're ****ed on the surround sound aspect.

However, there are converters that will take an HDMI input and output HDMI and 5.1 optical audio.

The 'E' sounds about as good as a chocolate teapot.
