Question for those that have transferred content from Fat 360 HDD to Slim HDD

#1FenDieselLivesPosted 7/18/2013 9:03:03 AM
To anyone who has done this -- how do you complete this process? There are a lot of videos out on the interwebs, but most use old Xbox UIs so I imagine the process has changed.

Do I need my old Fat Xbox system in addition to the HDD in order to transfer?

The reason I ask is that I'm potentially planning to get rid of my Fat 360 tonight and will get my Slim on Sunday. I'll just hold onto the Fat system's HDD. I'm okay with doing this as long as I can still easily transfer stuff from my Fat system's HDD to my slim HDD when I get the system Sunday.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. If any clarification is required, please let me know. Cheers!

Yes I really think you will need both in order to transfer. Unless you can fit everything that was on your fat hdd into a usb and transfer it that way. I did this awhile back and needed both systems in order to complete the process.

hmm, anyone have more concrete info? It seems the responses so far somewhat disagree with one another.

haha, thanks for adding that, Bob. I appreciate the answer.

So I just need the slim console, slim HDD, and fat HDD -- correct?

If that is the case, I should be good to go. Thanks again for the help.
