What are some couch co op shooters like Aegis Wing?

R-Type (arcade)
Otomedious Excellent.

R-Type is a classic, did they ever release UN Squadron and Parodius on Live Arcade?

I always thought retail meant something bought from a retail store. Hmm.

I think these days it means something that was targeted for retail, as opposed to being developed strictly with digital distribution only in mind.

I could beat the R-Type arcade game in one life :-) I only have 165G in the Arcade version though, couldn't get that Dare Devil Achievement, also missing 30K kills which I can't be bothered with.

It seems to generally include anything on hard copy. I mean you could buy it from a garage sale and it's still retail.

I'm not a fan of them personally. That whole contra style thing just... eh. But they needed a mention, regardless.

Nice one, beating a shooter in one life takes skill and patience.

Uhhh...I realize that, but considering TC is just asking a basic, Where to start from...type question, I figured I wasn't going to load my answer up with a bunch of region locked import games....just sayin.

What does that have to do with DS2X being a Games on Demand title and NOT an Xbox Live Arcade title.

People need to learn that XBLA is a specific section of the marketplace for specific games, it is not the entirety of the marketplace, and despite what some less than intelligent users want to believe, it is not a term for all games available on the marketplace.

Go to the Arcade section of the marketplace (once XBL is actually working properly) and try to find DS2X, trust me, you aren't going to find it listed, because it isn't an XBLA title, it is a GoD title, found under the GoD section.
