My Xbox disc drive just fried...

So my disc drive just died on me. I just want to get some opinions on what I should do next. I'm considering just waiting it out for a Xbox One, seeing as I'll be buying it on release anyways. Or I buy a new/used 360, since I still want to play GTA V.

I've had Nessy, my 360, for over 6 years now, so I'm pretty sure the warranty has expired. I've talked to my friend about replacing the disc drive, and from what he's told me, it'll be more expensive to replace the drive.

What should I do?

Get a used console.

I'm guessing it had to be an original, I'd say invest in a Used 360 Slim

It was an Elite Console, with a 120 GB Hard Drive. She worked wonders.

I see, well best to invest in the slim, generally much bigger HDDs and wireless built right in.
