Can't seem to connect to xbox live

Ever since the blasted patch things have been terrible for me xbox wise. Usually it runs really slow, but today I have consistently had this issue where it absolutely refuses to go online. I get some stupid error every time and to make matters worse when I test the connection it connects to my PC and to the internet perfectly fine yet when I try to sign onto Xbox Live it just f***s me over once again.

I'm using a wired connection. My PS3 uses one too and it can go online just fine so it's not my router.

Any help? The specific error number is 80151014

dude i've been having the same issues too! and it all started after that dumb ms point conversion update. sometimes just turning my xbox on takes a couple minutes, because it seems like it's trying really hard to sign in, but it just can't and it won't let me do anything until it can. it's very weird and very annoying...

I'm going by what I experienced last week to offer help, so if it doesn't work I'm sorry tc, I went through a day or two of not being able to get on and what I did was delete my profile and clear my cache then redownload my profile.

I still have the occasional disconnect if I'm away from the console, but it always connects right back. Hope that helps to the both of you.

It will give you a prompt to delete just the profile or everything associated with it, just choose the delete profile only.

I'm not sure how it was able to do it with mine, I was being walked through by a MS tech, once I deleted the profile it went to test connection secured the connection and then downloaded.. but to prevent not having a profile until you can at least connect to retrieve your profile again I would call the tech line and ask them first. That's a crappy situation and I really hope you can find some way to do it.

Ever since the update all stuff is priced in 'currency'. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

My 360 is also 0.00007 degrees warmer than usual.
