Microsoft Points

This might make me seem really stupid, but I'll give it a shot anyway...

How does this new system work. When I go to purchase things the default purchase method is the credit card. How do I use my points?

MSP don't exist anymore. That's all I know though, someone more helpful might give you details on how to redeem any leftovers or if that's even possible.

from what i understand:
1) first you must login on an updated x360 CONSOLE before your points are converted
2) once you click past the first screen that says to use the credit card, then you are asked if you want to use your remaining credit balance
*i haven't personally tried these

It gave me the option to pay with my account for the Minecraft mash up pack. That's good.

Microsoft converted all of my MS points to money when I logged in after updating. I think you need to first go through the process of purchasing something (right before you confirm) to have the conversion go through. Shouldn't it have done the same to you?

If I have $10 in my account and I want to buy something that costs $15, can I use the $10 and pay the rest with the credit card on the account?

If you have $10 and you buy something that costs $15 it will charge the remainder to your credit card.

When it says 'pay with account' that is the same thing as the converted microsoft points, right?
