Purchased game. The download failed.

I just purchased Jet Set Radio. The money was taken from my XBL account and the download failed. It's in my history but if I try to download it again it wants to charge me again.

I have the email receipt. I have the game in my history. I just can't download the game to play it.

This just occurred. It's not an old purchase. Is there an issue with XBL at the moment? Does this happen often enough that there is a course of action I should be taking?

Don't try to download it again from the marketplace tab where you bought it from, instead go all the way to the right in the System tab, Account button, then to Download History.

Try to redownload it from there.

If that still doesn't work then contact MS support directly.

That is how I attempted to redownload it, from Account. It was still trying to charge me.

I waited a while and tried again and it started, however this is the slowest I've ever had an XBL download of any size go.

Is there some event going on on the network? BF4 beta or GTA Online beta or something? The last time xbl gave me these issues was during the Reach beta.

This happened to me, too. And now, if I try to buy anything, it says my account is banned from making purchasing. Good job, Microsoft...

I'd suggest calling 1-800-4-MY-XBOX.

It eventually resolved. The download was beyond slow though.

Just a suggestion, if you have a slim system, or any one of the systems with the 4GB built in memory unit, put the game there, but keep the save on the HDD (if you have one).

This kills a bug where the framerate damn near stops every time the game tries to load and save at the same time (which happens a lot).

I put the games on the HDD and saves on a USB drive.

It would be better if you switched it around, the game runs better and loads faster from the faster device.
