I keep finding a file randomly appear in the System folder on my hdd called 'xbox live improvement data'. It is about 180mb and deleting it doesn't seem to do anything. I guess it does what it says on the tin but does anyone know exactly what it is for or what it does to improve xbox live?

I seem to remember it being something to do with kinect but I don't have kinect btw.

There secrectly watching what you do on live so they can improve the service. If there spying on 10000 people and they all log in and go to a certain tab, then maybe in a future update that tab will display first for peoples convienence.

It's marketing data. It helps them display ads "relevant" to you.
