You'll be better off getting an Xbox 360 S 4gb mate.

Someone on here will explain why. Or just search it in the bar at the bottom.

And if you're on about an elite model hard drive then no you can't, but if you take the HDD out of it's case I know it fits in the 'S' model.

I don't know anything about the 'E' to comment.

if there is some kind of problem attaching my old hard drive to the new, cheap xbox 360, I'll just forget about xbox and trade in all my xbox games toward a PS4. So I need to know.

How old, original model or Slim S?

Both the Slim S and Slim E use the same HDD enclosure, the original model uses a different enclosure.
