Mass Effect Trilogy: Definitive Edition (What're the chances?)

Bad idea I think.

I hate re-releases that are just the original game with an overhaul. For instance, I assumed Halo:CE Anniversary was going to be Halo: CE with nice graphics and all the little bits they added later that the MC could have done storyline wise but they hadn't thought the idea up yet. If I had realised it was just Halo: CE with nice graphics, I'd just have played Halo again instead. Stuff like not being able to board vehicles? There is no storyline reason MC can't do this other than the fact they hadn't thought the mechanic up. Sur,e I should have researched but honestly, I expected them to put a little more work into the game than just a graphical upgrade.

So they need to update the game and features and the like. But how? Do you make ME more like ME3 or make ME3 more like ME? Do you re-record voices? Do you make the Ashley Williams model in ME as slutty as her ME3 one? What shade of sexy blue should Liara be? Do you put Kaiden-ManShep romance into ME and a proper gay option (read: Not Liara) for FemShep in ME? Would you take out the infinite ammo weapons in the first game so that you don't have to have that awkward discussion in ME2 about how (story-wise, not gameplay-wise) it is a terrible and stupid idea? Fix some of the flags that went a little haywire?

I think... damned if you do, damned if you don't. If they don't change anything people will moan. If they change a lot of things, people will moan. I'd buy it, but I'm easy and I love ME trilogy enough to pay for it again happily.

I don't follow where you say, "not being able to board vehicles." You have been able to do that since the first game back on Xbox.

I would buy it twice. One for my Xbox One and one to hang on my wall.

You can't board enemy vehicles in Halo CE. That began in Halo 2.

MacDofGlasgow, if they had added vehicle boarding, energy swords, dual wielding, etc. to Halo CEA I wouldn't have bought it or any other game in the Halo series for the rest of my life. Just saying.

I'd rather get a Mass Effect Trilogy port to the Vita. I would buy the crap out of that.

It will be pretty expensive to redo every asset. I believe Square Enix had to pay a pretty penny to get it reworked.

It would be awesome. Rework some of the game mechanics in all of the games... but I doubt this will happen. I mean Kotor needed a remake in HD with new assets, improved and etc, but it didn't happen. There's some people who never played Kotor too.

It's EA. If they'll do it, they'll take the lazy route.

I don't think its likely and I do agree it'll bring in a pretty penny. At the same time didn't expect so many HD rereleases last gen so who knows. I would buy it if they were to make it.
