Can't help ya. Forza series is the only sim racer on the 360 with extensive customization options There are other sim games, but not with lots of customization.
I think you can try Need For Speed: Shift 1 & 2. They might be the only alternative on the 360. --- I'm still using Glitches & downloading Saves! TRY & STOP ME GAMEFAQS! http://i.minus.com/iB8tNWOJUBBtH.gif

Need for Speed maybe? My personal favorite racer on the 360 is the PGR series, not much customization though.

Don't know about customisation, but my favourite racing game of this generation was GRID. --- Currently Playing: - TMHT IV: Turtles in Time - SNES, GTA: Vice City Stories - PSP, Pokemon: Leaf Green - GBA and Assassins Creed III - Wii U

Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2005) has pretty decent customization, but it's more of an arcade racer. --- 'Charging in on the back of a Rachnii, with a glorious golden beard flowing in the wind with two groupies behind him, Divider rescued our outpost...' - Raff

Split Second is pretty good fun and has an element of customisation. --- "That would explain how she died. It wasn't old age; she just roundhouse-kicked herself in the back of the head" - ShadowWraith666

Oh and the Dirt games............Dirt 1 and 2 are great but I'd avoid 3. --- "That would explain how she died. It wasn't old age; she just roundhouse-kicked herself in the back of the head" - ShadowWraith666

Yeah, only good one. :) After playing forza, nothing else seems good in the racing genre. --- After some searching today (7-12-14) I found the first post I ever made on GFAQS :) http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/957985-dead-rising-2/66994453

Midnight Club LA:
Lots of customisation, not a massive amount of paint colours. Lots of rims, bodykits, wheels sizes, etc. Arcade Racer.
There's the 'Juiced' games. But I haven't played those, I assume there's customisation in those.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), has pre made bodykits and stuff but it still has a nice choice of customisation.
Need For Speed: Underground 2 (OG xbox, I don't know if it runs on the 360). It's my favourite racing game ever, has everything.
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. Only able to change the colours of the cars, but the game it's self is an awesome racer, well worth a play if you like racing games. --- Aglet: The plastic sheath at the end of a Shoelace.
