you're using wirless right?

u have a router right?

k go to you router's webpage usually

there are a bunch of things you can do

there is probably a gaming section

name one of these ps3...give it the addy 192.168.105

now go to command prompt (i assume you're using windows)

click run on start menu and type out command or just type cmd and hit enter

bingo: command prompt

type ipconfig /all

use that info on your ps3 and dont forget to use the addy u gave to it on your router home page
set up mac filtering on the router page but make it so only certain macs CAN access
u can get your puters mac pretty easy without me posting about it and you can then get your ps3's mac and whatever else you have connected to it - this should strengthen it a bit

1. Download the file and unzip it to your desktop. (

2. Open p3tcompiler_v101 >sample > 01 > and in there should be a file called sample.xml.

3. Right click that file, select "Open With...", then choose "Other Program". This will open a tab with a bunch of programs, but select browse for program.

4. In the file selector, go into p3tcompiler_v101 and inside there select the p3tcompiler.exe.

5. Double click sample.xml and it will run the cmd compiling the p3t. The p3t should be somewhere in sample>01>.

6. On a thumb drive, make a directory PS3>THEME> and put your P3t here and go to your PS3.

If you want to make your own theme, just edited the different .PNGs that correspond with the correct icon.

i've followed up to step 4. however, i keep getting a message saying that the application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. most likely something wrong on my end.

some XMB icons aren't showing up like they're supposed to. i took an already existing .png file and replaced it with a custom image and had named it exactly the same way it was prior to replacing it. instead of a custom icon appearing in the XMB, a question mark shows up instead. what am i doing wrong?

Something I found out yesterday wile playing around with the Themes menu.

If you like a set of icons on a theme but still want to use your current wallpaper just do this.
Go to "Themes" in the system menu.
Choose a theme you like and apply it.
Next go to background and change it back to wallpaper.
Easy peasy.

You can put games into specific folders!! W00T!!!!

Here is how to do it...

1.Group the content under game into "By Album",
2. Hit triangle on each game then choose "information",
3. Change the album name to whatever you want. Games with the same Album name go to the same album, so you can have your demo's in one album, and full games in another

Here is my arrangement

I know you cant read it, but that highlighted folder is named "Demo"
Next folder is Full games
Last is "WARHAWK"

So there you go. All organised
