Actually both LBP have jaggies. If you zoom in on circles, they have a lot of points. If you use the circle tool and keep rotating and pasting the circle in one place, it will say the shape is getting too complicated. I guess the game just can't render smooth circles.

Unless of course your TV has horrible 720p to 1080p scaling, but even then jaggies should be minimal due to the AA.
The anti aliasing doesn't work on a lot of surfaces, there are still a lot of jaggies.

Not a jaggy in sight. Game is so pristine it's absurd. --- http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/4062/lightningrocks.gif

that's not the same as jaggies, that's just low poly. Jaggies is where the edges look like staircases rather than a smooth slope.
Here's an example: http://imgur.com/o74OK.png
This image was upscaled 10x so the results would be easier to see. The line on the left contained no jaggies, and the line on the right did. You only get jaggies if anti-aliasing is absent in the game, and unfortunately that's true for most games this gen. --- I guarantee PS4 will be out by Spring 2013, if not earlier
