Trinity Universe or Cross Edge?

Definitely Cross Edge.
It has a better battle system, music, characters, and all-around variety. Trinity Universe gets very repetitive quickly, and the writing/localization is painfully bad. Cross Edge on the other hand, is my second favorite game on the PS3. There's plenty to do and you'll have a great time doing it. There is also a good amount of replay value, as you're almost guaranteed not to get the true end your first game due to the strict requirements, and there are a ton of characters you can use to make the experience a bit different each time.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I didn't play Cross Edge, but Trinity Universe wasn't really bad. It's most redeeming factor was the gameplay, but the dungeons were pretty bleh. The game sort of gave me a .hack feel though with the random dungeons coming in and out though.

What about Hyperdimension Neptunia?

Despite the games all around panning from the critics I have heard that it can actually be a charming romp, despite it's significant flaws. I have also heard that the humor and characters are all excellent.

Really, I'm just looking for something quirky. Been playing so many serious games lately...I just wanna laugh and have a leisurely time with some anime styled stuff.

Note I already own Atelier Rorona, and love it - despite the nearly deplorable battle system, which luckily only accounts for 10% or less of the game anyway.

I cannot speak for Neptunia since I never played it, but if you want Qwirky and gameplay, I think as an RPG fan, you really may enjoy Trinity Universe. Like I said before, it's gameplay is it's saving grace. The 2D art is beautiful, and when you have the prinnies and NISA localizing the game, you know qwirky humor is going to happen.

Ar Tonelico Qoga.
Currently Playing: Infamous 2, Atelier Rorona, Yakuza 4, DC Universe Online, DW Gundam 3... and many more... so many games!

I'd say in order it goes Cross Edge > Neptunia >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Trinity Universe.

If you really like Cross Edge's battle system, I would recommend looking into Blazing Souls for the PSP. That's the game Zelos is from, and it plays like Cross Edge but in Fire Emblem/Final Fantasy Tactics form.

I think I am going to go with Neptunia. It appears rife with good gamer humor, and I love playing as female characters (which they all seem to be).

Hopefully the gameplay doesn't slow it down too much. Let's all be honest here, gameplay is not the primary strength of any of these games mentioned in this topic.

You'll love Neptunia, especially if you play a lot of games. It's ripe full of comical references.
