I recently just bought a Psp and was messing around with the remote system crap. After i got use to it i put them both aside for about a week and i came back to play some God of War 3 and the disc is not popping up in the Game section.
I tried other games same thing it doesnt pop up so i cant go into the Game and play it. The little blue light on my Ps3 is fine and functioning.
I also went into my system settings and put Auot-Disc "on" so when the Ps3 started up it would go right to the game. But no luck on that either.
Is it my disc drive? the past 2 weeks me and my brother have been playing FFXIII, Infamous and God of War 3. So its had some action this past 2 weeks.
Oh and its a fat system from Launch day 1 if that helps.... --- PSN: Strife1721 Wii FC: 2372-2354-4138-9302 Best Boss Battle Ever Xemnas- KH2

Given that you felt you had to mention the fact you got a psp and were mucking around with remote system, I'm guessing you were under the impression you could play PS3 games on your PSP doing that? If so, not the case.
The only games you can play that way are ones that say PSP/PS3, such as the classic PS1 titles, minis, stuff like that. And even then, it's not going to magically send the info to your PSP wirelessly like the new Wii U is going to do. You have to put the game on the stick.
All remote control does is let you navigate the XMB with your PSP. That's it.
However, if your PS3 itself is not recognizing game discs all of a sudden, then it's likely your blu ray drive is fried. --- PSN ID: RyuuHou24

No i already knew i couldnt play Ps3 games on the Psp i was just seeing if i could transfer data from the Welcome Back program to my Psp. And i was just looking into it.
Thanks for the help. Its sad that im going to have to call Sony. And pay what $200 for it to be fixed? Or do they even fix fat Ps3s anymore? --- PSN: Strife1721 Wii FC: 2372-2354-4138-9302 Best Boss Battle Ever Xemnas- KH2

150 dollars last time I checked... and they'll send you a refurb... whether or not it'll be a fat refurb is anyone's guess.
Honestly... I'd cut my losses... sell the system on ebay (especially if it's a 60 gigger) for like 100 bucks advertising that the laser doesn't work... and buy a new slim. --- PSN: Davelicious GT: Davelicious46 NEW SETUP: http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee174/Davelicious406/DSC02294.jpg
