Chill out. It's not America's fault you live in ****ing Russia. Part of being American is our capitalist system and free market and right to ***** about high prices. Just because you sit back quietly, do what you're told, and buy unoffical copies of games with no questions asked doesn't mean we have to. Maybe if you guys spoke up a little you wouldn't be making $.25 an hour.

we have. putin wants to make minimum wage $.60/hr, which is amazing to anyone making $.25/hr. however, i don't believe you know what an "economy" is, and i don't believe you realise the problems with raising minimum wage, which usually greatly outweighs the benefits.

every time minimum wage is raised, and i don't care where you live, this is true, every bloody time, there are mass lay-offs to compensate for the raise. that's why putin is having such a hard time raising wages. the price of EVERYTHING skyrockets the moment businesses have to pay people more for their work, and listening to a bunch of idiots ramble on about the poor wages who don't realise they may get screwed worse if the wages go up so much higher will not help. when the usa went up from $5.00 to $7.25 nationally, there were MASS layoffs and prices for food, housing, rent, entertainment, etc all went up to compensate for the raise.

because avatar was a breakthrough in cgi, and black ops didn't change its engine, graphics, etc at all. again, try a game where the cgi/graphics/engine was/were a total breakthrough. then you might make a point. avatar might have been 'highest grossing movie of all time', but i believe it was most likely the most expensive movie, as well.

but at this point, i think you're trolling hardcore anyway.

uh, right. and the point is, we don't make enough to pay $74 for a new game, when you americans make 12x the pay i make and still complain. so, right. cig in the system, i stopped caring at this point. have fun with yourself.

further, i understand the reason it is so expensive is because we have fewer console gamers than pc gamers. you could get crysis 2, new, for $5 for pc. the same game, on 360/ps3 was $70 over that.
pc games here are stupidly cheap.

You failed to mention the fact that Avatar made over 2 billion dollars in theaters, which you said doesn't matter.

I guaran-goddamn-tee if Avatar was a direct to DVD/Blu-ray movie, it wouldn't have made any money.

You guys are forgetting that movies are only 2-3 hours long.... Games can go from 10 hours to hundreds depending on the game. Sure you can watch the movie as many times as you want but how many times are you gonna watch the same movie in 1 month compared to how many times you'll play the same game in 1 month

True games can last longer but who cares if it's crap.

I thought the idea about lowering prices would be more widely accepted. It's just an idea I threw out there that could possibly benefit developers as well as consumers. But the more I read into it, I feel like screw the developers, I seriously think there might be some price gouging going on.

Some games may be worth $60, but not the majority. And $60 should no longer be the standard.
