hard drive upgrade restore error

I have an external hard drive with my back up that worked fine but when I went to restore it got to 99% and had an error, what can i do to restore my data

when I first put in the hdd i had to download the update onto a usb for it to set up the hard drive

Did you check after the restore was completed to see if anything was on your new HDD?

It has my main and all alt user but with a * infront with the register for playstation on all no login info, my saves but no installed games or game data utility

Apparently some game data can't be transferred so tomorrow (well a bit later on) I will put my old hard drive in and delete the game data utility then back up again an see if it works

I would say that as long as your saves transferred you should be ok. You can always reinstall / redownload anything you have in your library.
