I imagine I'll be agreeing with this once I get round to playing it.

But in the meantime, Mass Effect 2. How bland and generic can you make a boxart? It only shows one - relatively insignificant to the plot - planet, three people from a squad of ten (twelve if you include DLC), and nothing about Space travel. To be honest if I'd never heard of Mass Effect before, I'd probably think ME2 was a post-apocalyptic shooter that featured mutant fish men.
Sure, ME1's was quite generic also, but at least it represented the game well.

Mass Effect 2 by a long shot.

I almost had a stroke when I saw it.

I though the company went through some crisis on how to market to a wider audience and decided on

MARINE!
