PS3 keeps restoring itself, need help!

It says it's there's a corrupted file and when I restore the PS3 it happens again and I have to keep doing it, will doing a full format fix this?

TBH, I don't have a clue, but why don't you try it? If its as bad as you're implying, what do you have to lose?

Maybe. But if you reformat, you will lose ALL DATA. I suggest you get a new slim PS3, transfer all the data via the ethernet cable method.

Then reformat the old PS3 and reset everything to factory settings. Sell it online or just use it strictly for like a home media center device.
