XFactor1Posted 9/5/2011 6:04:08 PM | I always considered Killzone and Resistance as B-Level titles.
Killzone only has the graphics going for it. Resistance was bland to me. --- -- |

What does it bring to the table that Halo & Killzone already haven't?
Another option? Gotta hate having those eh? |
OmegaFlare18Posted 9/5/2011 6:29:24 PM | are you gonna be doing this for every single game coming out?

Well, Halo is the 360 flagship shooter, so that's not really a fair comparison unless you've got both consoles.
And as for Killzone 3, well that feels much 'heavier' than Resistance 3. I don't know how to describe it, but that's the word that comes to mind - Killzone 3 feels more like the character has a lot of weight to it, where as with Resistance the characters feel much more fluid.
Not only that, but in Resistance the weapons are far more interesting and varied, and the game has a lot more variation in the environments. And, Resistance has far more epic moments in general, and just feels like it offers more of a package. The only standout moment I can remember in Killzone was the battle against MAWLR in Killzone 3, where as Resistance has had plenty of standout moments - For example pick any of the bosses in Resistance 2.
I'm by no means hating on Killzone, but it really does feel like a different experience to the Reistance experience. --- Please support the gaming industry that both you and I love by choosing to play your games legally. |

Agreed.
KZ is more of a gritty, in-your-face, military style game (albeit, I never played KZ1 for the PS2). The Resistance, with it's sci-fi element, really sets these 2 games apart.
I'm glad to have Killzone 2 & 3 and Resistance 1 & 2 in my collection, and I'm excited about getting R3 tomorrow, because I am a fan of the FPS genre. --- It seems that everything I enjoy in life is either...immoral, illegal or fattening. Oh well, at least I can control the last one. |
