I've googled... I've searched the official site... but I'm having no luck finding were the form is to register my PS3 for a repair.

I bought it in Jan 2010 (slim model) and it's recently started to turn itself off and have a red blinking light, to which I think I read that's either hard drive or overheating related?

Anyway, if anyone can point me in the direction of were I arrange for it to be repaired, that'd be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

i'm believing you want it to get fixed through the warranty, so go here.

http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=106

when you call them or contact them, they'll just get a few things from you and send you a box in the mail with a return sticker. Then you pretty much just place your ps3 and a copy of your receipt in the box and send it back, and they will have it fixed.

That sites for US returns only isn't it?

Also, is it bad I have copied some TV shows and Movies to the HDD. Sure enough there downloaded (although a bunch of them I do actually own on DVD or blu ray), I don't want that to be the reason they wouldn't fix it if I sent it them :\ and I'm not sure my PS3 will stay on long enough for me to do the deleting before sending, last time I tried (yesterday) it turned off after being on for about 7 seconds.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's just below the Canadian one, there's a link for people outside of canada/states.

I don't think you'd get in trouble, I highly doubt they'd even look through your hard drive.

Have you tried leaving it off for awhile, putting it in an open space and seeing if that keeps it on for any longer? Searching google all I can find is that it might be overheating, or did overheat and messed something up.

Wow you're right.
I expected it to be a 2 year Warranty on the slim's (figured they'd have some belief in them lasting).

Hmm, is it a set price they offer for a repair/ refurb? or is it a case-by-case thing?
If so maybe I'm best just considering it a write-off and saving up for another PS3 over the next couple of months?

Oh and thanks for all the replies so far, mucho appreciated.
