Should I play FF 13?

I have been wary of getting this game because I've heard it is bad from people on the net and friends, but now that it is really cheap and the FF series is my favorite of all time I'm thinking about getting it. I wasn't a fan of 12, 10 was good but X-2 was terrible. I like RPGs, but recently I've been having a hard time staying interested in JRPGs, so would that be a problem with this one? What should I expect from this game?

if you didn't like 12 and thought 10 was ok you have no reason to get this game. you won't enjoy it.

If you are going to play it tc then dont think of it as a FF just a normal JRPG you might enjoy it more.

Bad, bad advice. I hated FFXII and really enjoyed XIII, if anything it's far closer to X than the single player MMO that was XII.
