The Pokemon games are an entirely different issue... Nintendo get away with too much with that franchise. It didn't kick start this "release a game ever years that's almost the same" BS though. --- Do not go here : http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/233-star-trek?action=addfav

Also, COD is not ruining gaming, neither is SquareEnix
^Actually Pizza Hut did ruin pizza.
Cheap pizza made with frozen ingredients is not real pizza. Sadly many people don't know what real pizza tastes like because most pizza places are lazy and refuse to make real pizza. --- PSN and 3DS info below. Add me! http://passid.ca/ShadyN
Jahkeemyork posted... What has unreal engine 3 ever done good for Square? That engine has the word disaster written all over it when it comes to the hand of a JRPG no matter what company.
Lost Odyssey was really, really good with it, despite the studio obviously having some issues since it was their first time using such an engine.
That said, the yearly thing isn't surprising. So they want to release more console games. Big deal. They've been churning out portable titles like crazy this past decade. All they're doing is changing it up for consoles. All they need to do is a good job with it. The release schedule of games is nothing shocking. It probably takes a lot for studios to be solvent in this economy. They can't just sit and release one big game every few years.
Then again, Square Enix has been releasing a ton of games each year anyway. Why is this shocking anyone?
