I haven't been following this game at all, all I know is stuff from when it first was announced.

Basically that it's on PS3 and Xbox, stars Raiden, and uses beam sword combat or something like that.

So recently I've heard from numerous places that Platinum Games is now developing the game, and I've seen topics here where people are strongly complaining about that (but they don't say why).

So what's the issue?

Platinum Games is an amazing developer. Both Bayonetta and Vanquish are awesome games, some of my favorites this gen. Plus, if you keep in mind that Platinum Games is essentially Clover Studio, they also gave use Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand.

So...what's the problem?

The problem is this is Metal Gear, a stealth game. Now it's a hack and slash and will most likely have a lame cheesy story (I love P* games too but their stories are lol worthy). I don't mind personally 'cause it's a spin-off but I can see why others might.

People complain for the sake of it.
I'm pretty sure that Hideo confirmed that you don't argue MGS semantics with Onslaught. - Serazee - backloggery.com/main.php?user=onslaughtx

1. It's a spin off
2. The main character is Raiden
3. It has nothing to do with MGS/Solid Snake
4.It looks like Ninja Gaiden
5.The main character is Raiden.

Because it is a spinoff. Everyone automatically assumes a spinoff will suck.

My only problem with it is how many hits it apparently takes to kill someone. I'm hoping there's higher difficulty modes where both sides do much more damage so the fights are ended in fewer swings. Other than that it's what we've known about for a long time now.
