Did they make God of War III harder than the first two?

I never really played the first two.

Playing it on the hardest setting definitely has some frustrating parts.

Definitely, I'm just trying to get as many opinions as possible.

GoW1 is still the hardest GoW game. GoW2 was only mainly hard with the parts where you have to protect people. GoW3 was the easiest overall, but the final battle with Zeus is on par with the hardest part in GoW1. His health is so ridiculously large that you could be hitting him for like 10min straight and he'll show no signs of weakening, yet if he hits you once with his clones then you're a goner because they just gangbang you in a circle and you can't get up.

God of War 3 was really easy compared to the others. The last boss wasn't even the hardest part of the game, in my opinion he was actually one of the easier parts of the ending

I find God of War II Zeus harder.

A lot of people say the hardest part of God of War III is the one with Cerberus near the end of the game, yet that part is nothing compared to the fights in the first two games: Protecting the translator, the corridor before the Fate Sister boss, and the Clone battle at the end of the first game.
