rswsc0407Posted 9/20/2012 9:05:39 AM | Of course I still play RPGs even though I work. I'm only averaging like 30 hours a week for work which sucks, but there's nothing I can do about it.
I'm more likely to play some of the older RPGs I never got to play back in the day or just couldn't afford compared to these 60-80 RPGs, unless the game grabs my attention pretty early in the game.
I like my RPGs to be anywhere from 20-40 hours, a lot of the other ones that are a lot longer than that just have a ton of filler crap that has nothing to do with progressing the story, it's just there to artificially extend the length of the game. --- Red Sox World Series Champions 2004 & 2007= My ID. Now it just seems that with such a limited gaming time, it's difficult to play RPGs and I mostly devote more time towards linear games. I'm wondering do guys here who work still play RPGs or have you abandoned this genre? Yes, of course I still play RPG (and SRPG and other variants). The irony is, when in the University I had less time to play due to the homework and study I had to do at home, and when I got out and took my job, well, all non-working time can be used as gaming time, since work stays at work, unlike studies. So, if you don't have a wife and/or kids, you should have enough time to keep playing any RPG you like. If you have a family, well, you can still play, just less time per day. |

Two days on, two days off, three days on three days off. So not only am I making enough money to easily afford all the games I want, I still have plenty of time on my off days to play them. --- "Mockery of religion is the most essential thing, one of the beginnings of human emancipation is the ability to laugh at authority." - Hitchens |
vecrynPosted 9/20/2012 9:33:35 AM | I think I logged in about 300hr into skyrim total before moving to another game. That was before any of the expansions came out, haven't played it since but I may have too with expansions and mods out for it now |

I have a 10 hour job, a dog that require me to take him out twice a day, and a girlfriend. I still manage to find time to complete (100%) the RPGs that I want to play even though it just takes a while longer. --- ~There are many worlds but they share the same sky~ One sky, One destiny. ReturnOfStarmanPosted 9/20/2012 10:14:38 AM | Hell, I have a wife, 3 kids and a full time job(40+) with pets and i STILL play RPG's...but not so many online mmo's because people hate on me and think i'm a n00b but in reality, i'm just unable to pause the game so i have to stand there like a bump on a log while Rathalos eats my face...because as important as video games are to me, my family is more important...its all aboot time management (it doesn't hurt to be a snob and have stringent requirements for what is enjoyable in a game). --- Ah, yes, the old "sandwich" tactic...How delectable... |

if theres an rpg worth playing i will play them but i havent found one yet
I'm trying as hard as I can to hold back making a comment that I know will be extremely divisive.
make your comment i dont care ..im pretty sure u gonna mention an rpg but like i said before i havent found one thats worth my time....whats good for you does not mean is good for me
It was going to be pertaining to your name and an RPG that has a character with the same name, which probably would have earned scorn from others because of my views of it. Regardless, I'll take this opportunity to post something completely different, instead:

Not a big Call of Duty fan - don't much like modern-day military shooters - but I found it to be a funny song. although i did played this game when i posted a comment here i was saying as of right now no rpg is worth my time...and im not gonna use my free time to play old rpg's that i already finished when i have other games to play, thats what i was talking bout --- PSN ID: Ultimateevilz |
