Hmm either Golden eye or Conkers Bad Fur Day. Almost positive it was Golden eye though. I think I got it a month after I got my N64. Which was Christmas 1998.

I can't even remember, my parents never cared about ratings.

And now as an adult I have the worse guilty conscious ever. Ironic, isn't it?

Played: Mortal Kombat (about 5 years old?)
Bought Myself: Parasite Eve (About 10 or 11 years old)

Rented a bunch all through the SEGA and PS1 days. Parents did not really care about what I played. Generally the mature games I played were the Resident Evils and things like Parasite Eve that were not violent for violence sake but had some plot behind it (my how RE has fallen lol)

Im pretty sure its RE3 back in 1998, my parents didnt allow me to play it but i just go to a friends house to play it.

resident evil 2 when i was 10 or 11. conkers bad fur day and mortal kombat messed me the hell up, haha
