Let's be honest. In your opinion what was Sony's biggest fail this gen?

I went with PSP Go. There was seriously no reason for that thing to exist.

When you put it like that they are all viable fails. Some worse than other. All in all, the removal of PS2 compatibility is the biggie. Considering one of Sony's best moves in recent times has been to provide support to the PS2. A lot of games still being released on PS2 as we speak. Also isn't there around 3 PS2's for every one PS3 sold to this day?

Actually, now that i think of it, badly designed hardware on the original models leading to death of console within a couple of years is the biggest mistake from a moral standpoint but Sony's refusal to recall and replace all said machines and downright ignorance only serves to make them richer as customers head back to the shops to buy a new machine.........In some cases, said new machine being an Xbox 360 hmmm

I don't count the PSP Go because I don't think the Go was ever truly meant to succeed. I think it was just testing the market for the Vita and getting people's reaction to downloading games and not owning a physical copy.

Even if that's so, it was a waste. They could have spend their time on something more worthwhile than a "test".

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.

Bah, can't retract vote.

The answer should really be Other if we are talking about Sony Corp as a whole.

Considering that they were the leaders in so many consumer technologies including video games - they have squandered this advantage away by their inability to adapt to current markets by providing solutions at the proper prices for consumers. In fact, one could argue that the PS3 is the least of their problems; losses in every other department are far more serious and catastrophic.

Removing PS2 support is what really gets me in a tizzy.
I love playing through old games over and over, but now that my launch PS2 is finally dead, I have to buy them all over again in HD packs or PSN?
No thanks, I can get a new PS2 for the price of one of the HD remakes.

Have you made one about your Microsoft? I had a look over there but couldn't see a huge list.
