Dragon's Dogma

Not a JRPG.

Please explain. I guess you don't consider Monster Hunter JRPG either.

I don't think anybody does

You probably should've stopped before "anybody".

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.

Ill fix it for him

"I don't think anyone except you considers Monster Hunter a JRPG"

Well, no one should anyway, because it's an Action RPG, not a Console-style RPG.

Qualities I look for in games: Atmosphere, Music, Exploration, and Freedom.
Deus Ex: HumΔn Revolution is the best game of this generation.

Xenoblade Chronicles. It sticks to its roots as a JRPG while simultaneously revolutionizing the genre. Almost unrivaled in its ambition.

Radiant Historia is the best Jrpg I have played since Vagrant Story and it had one of the best jrpg storylines i have seen in a while. It address many of my complaint against jrpg and it was just a big pleasant surprise.

this just totally sold me on getting Radiant Historia now :).

as for the topic of the thread, i sadly have too many unknowns. i have all current gen systems (minus vita), so i HAVE most of the games mentioned for ps3/wii/ds/psp. just with my schedule, it's hard to have had time to play through them all. also my kid steals the wii too much ;_;. But on that note, there are a LOT of decent/good RPGs out there, it just comes down to personal preferences and nit-pickiness.

FFXIII and FFXIII-2.
And Nier isn't a RPG.

Either Trails in the Sky (which I'm currently playing) or Radiant Historia. I haven't played Xenoblade yet.

I think Ninokuni will probably top my list though.

exactly

If Demon's/Dark Souls aren't considered JRPGS, there's no way in hell MH/DD can be considered one.
