With the PS4 looking like it will be out maybe next year it is time to evaluate the PS3. I know that it's supposed to be profitable for them now(not sure if this is true), but Sony lost A LOT of money from the PS3 over the years....something I'm not sure they will ever be able to make up

If the ps3 was a new system it would have been a great success. But considering it lost so much money for Sony and followed the generation dominating ps1 and ps2 I think its impossible to argue it was a success.

Of course the PS3 is not a failure. Look at the Dreamcast. Now THAT is what you'd call a failure.

You are not going to get a straight answer, 360 fanboys will say its failed, while Sony fanboys will say it didn't, even if you own both consoles, and Nintendo fanboys more then likely will say both systems have failed compared to theres which isn't true,

I would say the ps3 is a success purely on games as well as the 360 due to games skipping the wii due to the really bad hardware. DOes this make me a Sony fanboy it doesn't.

You are not going to get a straight answer from anyone especially on Gfaqs.

Young heroes between the ages of 12-17 make RPG and other video games better then older heroes 18-21 and over.

That's not a good example. You're basically saying anything that didn't do as bad as the dreamcast isn't a failure

Business=making money. Not making money= failure.

Did it fail? No

But it by no means was it the sweeping success that the PS1 and PS2 were.

Dreamcast is a failure, Sega gave up on it and went 3rd party.
