And I never believe a company over-hyping things,

you haven't followed Xillia's progression then... (jp release)

And Rebirth wasn't exactly chock full of content either, and that's mostly adored by fans.

Xillia was revealed to fans as if it had tons of content...that's where the content complaint comes in... and Rebirth has many other things going for it. it's also quite difficult to compare the two...

No, I just don't fall into a company over-hyping it.
SE has over-hyped plenty, I've learned not to listen to what a company says and experience the game myself.

All this thread makes me want is January to hurry up for NNK and whatever month Xillia hits here.
Aside from the likes of Sly 4, The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite, 2 of my most anticipated games of next year.

I have a feeling that Xillia is going to be well received either way.
It looks like more similar to Symphonia and Vesperia, than Graces and the TD games in general.

Of course, teams don't exist anymore and both artists did the characters designs, but I certainly feel a stronger Team Symphonia presence there.

Currently playing: Terranigma, Grandia, Ys II

Tough choice...
A new IP from Level 5 and Ghibli, or another entry in one of the best RPG series?
I refuse to vote!....but in the end I did, for Xillia.

I want to be excited to play Xilia, but after playing Graces F and hearing of all the shortcomings Xilia has, I think I'll just go back to taking my stance of not buying any more Tales games unless it's a PS3 localization of Vesperia.

Ryoma / Sora / Naruto / Luffy / Ginta
Young heroes between the ages of 12-17 make RPG and other video games better then older heroes 18-21 and over.

They're both not type worthy. I really liked Xillia, but I kinda understand why people were disappointed. I guess I wasn't because Xillia was a impluse buy for me.

Ni no kuni I heard was really disappointing....

No, more like Japan already had the DS version.
PS3 version is the DS version + an expanded/concluding storyline redone from the ground up for the PS3.
Some may have felt like they were double dipping, but the game is not disappointing.
Unless you're strictly talking about sales.
