Recommend a deep, mature JRPG for me.

If your PS3 can run the older PS1-2 games, I'd recommend the Suikoden series.

The 2nd, 3rd and 5th especially I'd recommend.

The 1st is amazing too but the graphics are very very dated now.

Personally I'd say the .Hack//G.U. trilogy, but since your PS2 has problems... mhm.

But games like Xenoblade will be hard to find; It's a stand-alone solid gem...
Maybe Star Ocean 4 or Resonance of Fate?

Otherwise Tales of Xillia; It's just people get disappointed about it, because they hyped it way too much - It's still worth playing it IMO!

I don't really recommend Star Ocean. It's tedious as hell and you'll get into frustrating situations constantly.

Try Resonance of Fate. It's by the people who made the Star Ocean series, but is more serious and uses a unique battle system.

No, it really isn't. A vast majority of the game has the party involving themselves in non-serious, stupid situations.

I'm going to also say persona 3. It is now on psn for quite cheap that is if you haven't played it yet. Also ffxiii has some darker twisted moments although people bash it. If you have a vita golden will be out this month as well, if not I'm sure since persona 3 is on psn it will eventually be released on there as well.

Demons Souls, in the sense that if your mature enough youll be intelligent enough to read the descriptions of everything and note every single deatil of the story, atmosphere and characters so even after the end, youll still want to look up more online including plot analyses to further love that game, which is a wonderful experience in terms of EVERYTHING!!

Cool Smash is an action movie in where Matrix-and-X-Men-like characters fight in the warehouse that appeared in the first episode of Falling Skies.

Then get that one. One of my favorites. With a very interesting story and (a lot) of mature characters.
